Michigan will have a new minimum wage increase of 20 cents to $9.45 an hour ($3.60 per hour for tipped employees), starting in late March. The state’s current minimum wage is $9.25.
The current and future Michigan minimum wage rates generally apply to employers with 2 or more employees who are at least 16 years old.
The minimum wage will increase to $9.65 in 2020 and to $9.87 in 2021.
